A tub of 100 Campden Tablets by Young’s.
Campden Tablets are used at the end of fermentation to prevent oxidation and bacterial contamination during bottling and syphoning. Campden tablets also aid stability.
They can also be used to produce a sterilising solution to use as a preservative or for sterilising ingredients before use.
Add 1 crushed Campden tablet to each gallon of wine at the end of fermentation. A sterilising solution can be made by crushing 5 Campden tablets in 1 pint of hot water.
