This is an English style ale yeast. It has been selected for its high performance and versatility, making it ideal for a wide variety of styles and fermentation conditions.
Nottingham Ale Yeast is suitable for primary fermentation for beers up to 9% ABV. This neutral beer yeast produces low concentrations of fruity aromas, which allows the full natural flavour of malt and hops to shine through.
These characteristics make Nottingham yeast suitable for a wide range of types of beer. Traditional beer styles which can be brewed with this yeast include Pale Ales, Ambers, Porters, Stouts and Barley wines.
As well as these traditional styles, Nottingham can be used to produce many other types of beer including Golden Ale, Kölsch, Lager-style beers, IPA, and Imperial Stout.
